Dr. Kriti Gaur

Dr. Kriti Gaur — known to many as Dr. K — is a Board Certified Associate Counselor who specializes in complex traumas, especially grief. With a deep commitment to supporting youth and families, she is passionate about spreading equitable mental health awareness. A two-time recipient of the Counselors Choice Award, she serves as an Honorary Board Director for an NGO providing mental health and sensitivity education to underprivileged students in India.

With an MSc from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD from Adler University, she integrates a multicultural, evidence-based approach in her work. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy through a multicultural discourse, in individual and group settings; she is a Safe Zone trainer and an LGBTQ+ affirming practitioner, and teaches master's-level integrated behavioral science courses as an adjunct professor. She works with neurodivergent and neurotypical children, adolescents, and adults to normalize mental health struggles and help people manage the stressors of everyday living.

Whether through her clinical work, speaking engagements, or publications, her mission is to offer healing, understanding, and hope to those in need.
